In this exercise, we had to create a Pitch Document, in which we developed and explained a game concept.

Metal Slug
Rational Level Design

Per group of six-game designers, we analyzed the Metal Slug 1 level design. We studied the enemie's behavior, the abilities of the players, and all the elements of level design in order to create a learning curve for the player.

Per group of two game designers, we created a game concept in which
we presented an economic system and imagined the user interface.
Kid Dracula
Level Design - Intentions



In this exercise, we analyzed a video game, called Kid Dracula, and extracted the mechanics. Thanks to Illustrator, we created new patterns and designed a level.
In addition to that, we wrote an intention document, in which we explained how we build our level.

2D - 3D Level design

We created a 2D game level in Illustrator and adapted it in 3D on Maya.
The goal of this exercise was to discover and learn how to used a3D software.
It was a good opportunity to learn how to organize our work for a better understanding of our teammate (especially Game Artist).
